Your notes are auto-saved to your browser's local storage, so they stay on your device and persist across reloads. You can also export them as a file, or sign in to sync notes across devices through Puter's cloud storage.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Once the page has loaded, the notepad keeps working without a network connection. You can also install it as a PWA so it opens like a native app and is always one click away.
Can I use it on my phone or tablet?
Yes. The interface adapts to small screens, the soft keyboard is handled properly, and the AI assistant slides up as a bottom sheet on mobile. It works in Safari on iOS, Chrome on Android, and any other modern mobile browser.
Can I edit code with it?
Yes. Switch the editor to Code mode from the status bar to get syntax highlighting for popular languages like JavaScript, Python, HTML, CSS, JSON, Markdown, and more.
How is this different from the Notepad app on Windows?
